Hello from behind the magic 8 ball.
This may well be the worst and lamest blog’s of all time so here goes nothing.
The company that I work for may very well be consulting the magic 8 ball for all its dispatching and its command and control decision.
Dispatch to haul x numbers of load’s, with x numbers of truck’s all day, Right? You would think that dispatch would know how many of these loads there are and that these Loads are ready to go, Right? You are now on site and looking for all these loads that ready to go and you find two that look like there ready to go, so you get to where you can load BUT WAIT that load is empty and the one behind it is loaded. So you call dispatch and they tell you their not really sure how many loads there are and to call and check with another driver who has not been on site for over two week’s. Oh yea that makes sense! OK CAN WE NOT FIND OUT BEFOR DISPATCHING X NUMBERS OF TRUCKS THAT HOW MANY LOADS ARE THERE? So you move the empty load and go load the loaded one while you are there you check to see how many loads there really are so you will know and do dispatches job and save them the hassle of calling some one. I mean hay they got things buy off of e-bay and read the sports page instead of being in contact with there customer’s right? So how many loads where there? Well please consult the magic 8 ball for the answer. Wow my first posts, so sad.
